Biggest Teepee House

Teepee and wigwam house now days are hard to find. When the pilgrims came to America there were teepees and wigwams dotted all over the Midwest and West. But a teepee is now days not a place for two working parents a couple of kids, a cat, a dog, soccer practice and a big, flat screen TV.

There are still remnants of wigwams and teepees along the highways and the byways of the USA, however. Especially in California, Arizona, Texas and Kentucky there are some teepee villages that serve as motels for weary travelers.

In Lupton, Arizona there is a teepee souvenir store upon one of the Indian reservations. In Lawrence, Kansas there is still a 50-foot concrete teepee inside of its Indian village. And in Alberta, Canada is the world's largest teepee standing at 20-stories tall. This wily wigwam is a leftover from one of the former Olympics.

The biggest teepee house in the world pictured on this page, however, is more of a modern day wigwam. It's not too difficult to notice the architectural styling is not made out of animal skins wrapped around poles.

This teepee home borrows from the Native Americans while being structurally unique. Not much is known about this teepee home except that it was built by hand in the 1970's in Michigan.
